Hello all,
While cruising another forum trying to fix a problem on my girlfriends e93 I came across this
http://shop.crackberry.com/blackberry-m ... A11438.htm
Ignore the dollar price, I found it on Amazon for £19.99
It seems like the perfect way to bluetooth music from your smartphone. All you have to do is plug it in the the aux at the back of the headunit (I've already got a 3.5mm lead coming from there, which is handy) and plug it into the cigarette lighter for power.
According to the guys using it in their e90 3 series it works perfectly with being connected via bluetooth for phone calls too, seamlessly switching between the two.
I can't believe e I've only just come across this. Seems way easier than any other ipod/iphone music streaming connection. It almost sounds too good to be true. Does anyone here have experience with it?
Cheers
James

Re: Bluetooth music to headunit with Blackberry music gateway
I connect my iphone directly to the Aux in socket via a cable from ebay so it avoids Bluetooth connections, would this be easier?
Re: Bluetooth music to headunit with Blackberry music gateway
the aux in is just a 3.5mm jack plug which i connect directly to my ipods headphone outlet,
surly this is the same but just adding an extra unnecessary step of going through bluetooth first? i might be wrong of course!

The direct connection via headphone to Aux will give a better sound.
The Blackberry bluetooth will be more useful if existing car has no bluetooth at all ..... for making calls
cheap for £20, would be nice it it was possible to power it away from the cig lighter for a clean finish.
