Only by paying BMW £130 a year I believe.
Ours isn't working on the E46 and I've been told it's just a subs issue. Our E46 has the 'telematics' option.
On my E53 (2004) the system would only work with Vodafone or O2 mobiles as the system could only use GSM800/900 phones. I had Orange and BMW GB gave me a refund because it would not work with that provider. Something to do with the data format BMW used at that time.
