Steering wheel height/deleting memory seat memory
Steering wheel height/deleting memory seat memory
Evening Chaps, can anyone tell me how to delete the old memory settings in the seats? I need to put my own in as my misis is much shorter than me and has what I will call a "typical women's driving postion" so instead of messing around after she has popped to waitrose in it I can just press the button, also where is the f--king steering wheel button, I spent about 20 minutes feeling round it the other day trying to raise it up, the minute I turn the key it's moves down. I expect better from ZE Germans and it should be next to the steering wheel marked clearly ha

Re: Steering wheel height/deleting memory seat memory
It can be set to work with each key. Simple to do.
Use 1 key for each driver, that key becomes 'theirs'.
With key 1 unlock the car, turn the car on, set seat, mirrors etc where you want them, press 'M' and a red light comes on then press the number you want. Switch the car off, get out and lock the car.
With key 2 unlock the car and repeat the process using a different memory number.
If using the same key, then just use a number for you and a number for her.
The steering wheel control is a lever on the left side....as shown in the manual. Move up/down, in/out and the wheel adjusts. Once adjusted, press 'M' and your number on the seat.
If nothing happens then there's a problem with the systems.

[/quote] I'm not sure if it works without having it coded in, or activated with Scanner 1.4.0, can't remember if it wasn't a dealer activated option, as you can set it to if you unlock the car with a certain key it automatically adjusts the seat for when you get in
Alternatively press M, so it light up the Memory button then press a specific number 1 or 2 etc, then that saves the seyttings as mentioned above, I had one wife had two, press the button before the ignition is turned on and it moves to the preset position, if the ignition is on, you have to keep your finger on the button
