It's a storage unit that sits on top of your cup holders, to put your golf tees in.

It was listed on the US BMW advertising as a pen holder :) its really just a nuisance, removed mine ages ago!

It's actually for the BMW branded scissors. Quite useful tbh.

I found one of these in the glove box when I got my X5 . . .

Wondered if it is some Phallic symbol denoting the manhood of the owner....
Maybe, slip it in your shorts if you carve some one up to prevent a painful kick in the balls maybe ??

its not long enough for a decent pen, looks rude & whatever else you put in it rolls around....
bloody useless, not one of BMW's best ideas me thinks...

I think the other guy was right... its the docking storage for a Rampant Rabbit ha ha
