EGR Valve... exhaust feed....
The EGR unit I located front right of the engine.. stood looking from the front of the vehicle...
There is an exhaust feed to the valve via a metal 1" pipe..... where is the start of this pipe, as I got a blanker from E-bay to fit on it ???
regards to all.
Grant.

Re: EGR Valve... exhaust feed....
Hi,
Fitted an EGR by-Pass, blanked the exhaust feed....
the verdict =
Much less smoke, a small increase in power, a tiny bit better MPG too & less junk under the bonnet too.
Added to that, I fitted a plug in remap device with excellent results to add.
I'm planning on removing the swirl flaps soon too, before they drop off and get ingested by the engine...

They don't. It's the only version without them.

Interesting because our 2005 E46 330Cd had them (until last month) wasn't available in an auto.
