Quick Q - pre 2002 headlights

Post by B1GGM » Wed May 07, 2014 10:13 am

Got a few days off over the coming weekend and am looking to clean up and 'de-orange' my headlights.

I have seen a number of posts that the pre 2002 headlights can be parted using a heat source. My question is what is the best way to re-seal them? Do I use a heat source again and just keep to the original glue or is there some other product I would be better using?

Cheers

P

the original glue should reseal with heat, but you can use a silicone sealer as well

I was opening my lights with heater gun. Don't take it too close to the transparent part because it starting to be white instead of transparent. After i make some changes in the light i have sealed them by warming up glue again and stick it together. Half year after that i don't have any problems ;)
