Which one are you bothered about?

It needs a service of some sort.  The 'check control' on the iDrive should tell you or even just giving the key to a service advisor in a BMW Dealer as the info is stored on the key too.

Could be MOT, 2-year fluid change, normal service needed, dying battery might bring it up too.

Hi Richard

Its very strange as all those warning lights stay illuminated while driving, the service indicator on idrive doesn't work while in this state and neither the check control, the service indicator on the clocks reads 0000 & 00/00/00, the idrive screen goes dim and no lights illuminate in the cabin and finally the car won't move unless you have your seatbelt on!!!  it first happened just after I collected the car from BMW 's bodyshop and I thought OMG but if you lock the car for 10 mins it clears, it has done it 3 times in the last year with no warning, BMW have looked at it twice and cannot find any trace and they have seen the photo above, all very strange?

What was it in the Bodyshop for?  Send a PM to Moar and see what he thinks......could be a loose plug somewhere, loose battery terminal.  ???

It was in for the films to be fitted on the doors and seals and have the rear bumper replaced, I wish it would just stay on then at least BMW could find out what is happening atm they won't accept there is a problem.

Been there with that 'issue' myself in the past.  Unfortunately too many technicians just go with what the computer tells them, and if the computer says it's OK at that moment then there is no issue.  Moar is a new member on here and a BMW Master Tech who he says goes to fix things dealers can't work out.....

Having read the spec for the new X6 on board electronics, Dealers stand sod all chance of sorting issues.  The system complexities will be a tech nightmare.

I wondered if it was dropping into 'transport mode' for some reason?
