Re: bluetooth issues
I've had issues with my Bluetooth since I first purchased the car and I remove the casing from the underneath of the armrest to find that both cables were severed, so I need to solder these wires using extenders. The issue I have is these wires are snapped at the end part of holder, so its a messy ...

Which Glow Plugs for the X5??
Hi all,
My Glow Plugs need replacing for the X5 (E53) 3.0D Sport.
I knackered my battery from trying the start the engine and I fear that I'll do the same again to my new Bosch S4, which I got on the weekend!!! :headbang:
Having looked through ebay and europarts, I'm asking you all for your ...

Re: CARBON FIBER STEERING WHEEL WRAPPING?
Got the Steering console wrapped on the weekend. I came up with a cheeky and quick way to shrink the carbon fiber on plastic trimmings, just rest the CF onto the plastic and stick it into the oven (Fan oven at 180 for 2 mins) it almost self wraps and gives you enough slack to mold the edges. Getting ...

Re: CD Changer won't eject ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Its a nightmare of a system, when I bought my X5 the CD changer had no magazine, so I stupidly purchased one on eBay. When I got the magazine it was getting stuck in the CD changer and the best thing to do is give the back of the changer a fecking good thump! It should release the magazine, however ...

CARBON FIBER STEERING WHEEL WRAPPING?
Hi all!
Happy New Year to all my X5ers, has anyone wrapped the plastic trim of their X5 sport Steering Wheel with 3M Carbon Fiber? I think it would look great and I have loads of carbon fiber left over. The plastic trim is all faded and looks terrible and I know that its recommended to disconnect ...

No chance that I'll get a decent quote for my renewal. With an East London post code and 3 years no claims..... I'm in no position to banter for a deal.

"check tail lights" issue
That's a regular problem with the X5 tail lights. You need to remove the cluster and check the metal plate which connects to the bulb. Mine had a hole which created bad connection, I used my soldering iron to build up/fill the hole and then sanded the plate until it was smooth. It's working 100% and ...

passenger side airbag
Hi Jason,
The bag didn't deploy, its the airbag light which is on and I suspect that it's the sensor for the passenger pillar as it dissembled it on the weekend.

passenger side airbag
Hello all,
After installing the intravee, I went a bit mad pulling up the carpet to feed the wire to the centre console...... which triggered off the passenger side airbag. Is there a wire loose under the seat or have I knock the side sensor?
Answers on a postcard please.....
