unless you're doing mega miles I wouldn't bother trading in and getting an "economy" diesel. 1) calculate the difference in costs of the cars, i guarantee mpg won't pay back the money you lose trading in 2) petrol's suddenly become a lot cheaper than diesel. 3) all cars will be electric or hydrogen ...

how is your tv working without a digital tuner? isn't analogue turned off?

just a quick one to stand up for the 4.4. I have a sport 2004, and it's epic. sadly getting driven less and less as I recently got a c63 so that's getting most of my attention these days. Depends on what you're looking for really, you could save a lot of money and get a 4.4 that has almost identical ...

hopefully this won't happen but sometimes they go a bit funny before they're about to die (happened with mine). If this does happen have a look on the forum at amplifier repair, can get it sorted for a fraction of the price of BMW replacement.

I'd give a serious look at an x5 3.0 diesel for that budget. They were probably £15k more expensive new and I believe you can really tell the difference, especially with the interior.

speaking of air filters (which this almost was ) has anyone got opnions on performance air filters - K&N, pipercross etc?
do they make any difference?
