Re: X5 winter options - new tyres and wheels or just tyres?
Thanks all great feedback. I did wonder about all year use of winters as an experiment. From prev experience they are a bit squirmier when it's warm. I suppose it's not that difft to having "all terrain " tyres like unsee slapped on discos all the time. I had also noticed the bargains available on ...

Re: quick guide to replacing e70 wheel arches.
Good point hadn't thought of that. Was sick of the wife grinding the big ones, and the tyres are rip off expensive. I much prefer the more rubber less alloy feel of the 19. And winter tyres easier to find. I save the sports car ride for the sports car

Anyways the wheel arches were a challenge to source cheaply including rivets etc, but a skoosh to fit.. i) for ...

Re: Tyre Wear
i have 20s and the bridgestones. 19.5K and the rears are almost thru all the rubber on inner edge. front outers still legal but very worn edges. I reckon its just the way it is - 20K for a set on an E70 3.0sd is probably not bad really. I was going to get the KDS tracking thing done by dealer, but ...
