Installing Bluetooth and an MP3 Input
HI Sorry if this isn't very coherent, but I am not overly technically minded. I would like to update my X so that it has a fully integrated Bluetooth telephone kit and a way of connecting an MP3 player to the head unit. My X has the professional sat nav, but no bluetooth phone connection that came ...

Re: Tyre pressure control & self level suspension
Thanks - so it sounds unlikely that it is connected to the self-level suspension issue.

Re: Battery drain problem???????
The FSR could be the cause, but I would be surprised if it would kill the battery in the space of 30 minutes. If the FSR is at fault, other clues are the Air Con doing odd things - e.g. not working at all, or the fan speeds blowing full blast irrespective of what speed is set.

Tyre pressure control & self level suspension
Are the tyre pressure control and self level suspension sensors linked in any way? I have been having problems with the self level suspension error, which was traced to a faulty rear off-side sensor. This was replaced, and the fault cleared from the memory. All was well for a week, but now it has ...

Re: Another flat battery
Thanks for your input. Any ideas when the 25% offer ends? I suppose if it ends soon, it may be worth getting the battery and holding on to it until it really is needed. Are there any problems with storing them - I can't imagine eurocarparts does anything special with them whilst they are in stock ...

Re: Another flat battery
Trying to assess whether the battery in my X is causing some problems. The magic eye on the battery is showing green, and the voltage before start up after sitting overnight is usually between 11.0 & 11.5 volts. Car seems to start without struggling - is that voltage reasonable? The battery is over ...

Re: Parking Sensor 1 - Me Nil
Hope you have managed to sort the parking sensor, but if not...... From my experience, the only fix was to replace the dodgy sensor. I too had one that started causing problems intermittently throughout the winter periods. I thought I had got it sorted by drying it out, and it remained good until ...

Re: self level susp inact
The self level susp inact message has been popping up occasionally on my 3.0d X5 for the last few weeks now. Each time the engine is restarted, it resets itself and the warning goes away for a day or two. It appears to be more prevalent in cold and/or wet weather. The message only comes up after a ...

Re: Alarm sounds when unlock car
It doesn't look like it is the bonnet switch - have disconnected this, and the alarm still sounded this morning when I unlocked the car. Could this be related to the state of the battery - it has never been replaced, so now nearing 7 years old it must be on its last legs. I also wondered whether ...

Re: rear supension self levelling sensors
Pleased to hear that you have managed to level up the car. Having done so, will it be necessary to get the tracking adjusted? I've noticed that the left of my X is sitting a bit low (c.1.5cm). I had uneven wear on the last set of front tyres (comparing left to right) - I had the tracking checked and ...

Re: Alarm sounds when unlock car
Thanks Sanj I had a look earlier - and was under the impression that this related to the alarm going off when the car was locked. However, I will have another check. Mine is consistently when the car is being unlocked - odd as I would have assumed that in unlocking the car, the alarm would be ...

Alarm sounds when unlock car
Hi Occasionally, when unlocking the X5, the alarm goes off. There seems to be no regularity as to when it will happen - sometimes when the car is first unlocked in the morning, other times with no problems - sometimes when the car has been parked only for a few minutes. It can be a bit of a hassle ...

Re: Auto Folding Mirror Fix
Hi Gurbinder
Your problem sounds similar to mine which I believe is related to worn cogs in the motor assembly.
Does anyone know whether these cogs or the motor can be sourced separately?
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
Thanks
Michael.
