Hi there
Just plug and play no coding , reset adaptions is good practice but not 100% needed.
I would replace the rubber induction boot that connects to the throttle and the idle valve at the same time they are prone to split on the small pipe to the idle valve.
I have to replace one on mine when ...

Re: P1500 Fault code
Hi there
Before you throw any parts at it see if you can code read it with BMW software and get a 4 digit manufacturer fault code , that engine suffered with issues with the electronic throttle and the wiring block connector to it .
Also the intake bellows splits where it tees off to the idle ...

Re: 2005 E53 Abs wheel speed sensors issue!!
Strange for wiring to affect that many sensors , however if it were me I would flow the loom from the module back into the wheel archa area and have a very good look for rub marks and water ingress .

Re: 2005 E53 Abs wheel speed sensors issue!!
Hi there
Tha spedo is controlled by the n/s/r abs sensor.
Have you fitted genuine abs sensors? I've had issues with non genuine ones several times on Bmws (just a thought)
Can you get any live data out of inpa to see what is happening ?
Perhaps try a fault code read with another piece of ...

Good choice ,
I fitted an E46 M3 SMG wheel to mine with the paddles and had it retrieved with Royal steering wheels it is an awesome job ... I'm fussy and am very pleased with the job they did.

Re: E46 Steering Wheel Question - E53
Hello mate.
Will be a straight fit .. All you need is the wheel and the airbag if a different shape to the original
You only swap the slip ring for the contacts to control the granola paddle switches
Cheers

Re: Any old school mechanics on here- e30 problem
Glad you sorted the running issue ..
Nice cheap repair in the end which is a result..
I have an E30 325 sport that I have owned since 1993 in the garage under a cover .. Not moved for 3 years.
As I said earlier I did my apprenticeship on those so if you need anything I may be able to help with ...

I would certainly disconnect it first mate only one connector on it and easily accessible behind bottom of heater box by the fire wall on the drivers side .

There are lots of possibilities that could contribute to this .
How does it idle with the valve connected ?
With the engine and ignition off if you operate the throttle from under the bonnet just off its still slowly at idle do you heat the throttle switch clicking ( the micro switch operating ...

Re: Flat Battery - yet another electrical issue...GOD HATES ME
The draw should be approx 0.04 A after 16 mins or 32 mins depending spec of the car.
Likely suspects are ..
Heater output stage resistor
Auxiliary engine pusher fan .
Traffic master control unit (if fitted)
Faulty battery in a tracker system trying to charge itself - this has caught me a few times ...

Re: AUC Warranty Q
You are correct the warranty is with the car not the owner .
You don't have to do anything to transfer it.
Cheers

Hi there
Best thing to do is remove the inner A pillar trim (1 torx bolt under the airbag badge in the pillar trim)
You will then see the rubber drain tube running down the pillar into a metal tube just above the level of the dash, pull the rubber tube out and blow compressed air down the metal ...

Re: 4.6is Differential seals, bearings?
Hi mate
Before you remove the driveshaft to change the seal just give it a good firm shake to see if there is any movement in the diff bearing .
Done loads of seals and not seen many bearing issues.

Re: daft warranty question
Hi
You can use any main dealer you like.
The only time you would be advised to take it to your supplying dealer is if there is anything you find amiss that may not be covered by the guidelines of the warranty cover like trim issues for example. if that's the case it's better to go to your ...

Re: F15 wheel corrosion?
Good result and exactly how it should be.
The wheels seem to have just been released from major back order in the last week or so .
All sounds about right.
Hope it's now sorted quickly for you.
