The mirrors move as they should do and the external temperature is displayed as normal I did not check the fuse as the drive is 6” deep in snow and ice, we had a fair load on Monday night, even at -3C the mirrors never got warm to the touch. I will investigate further when the snow goes.

My 2017 x5 seems that the heated mirrors have stopped working both together, I understand they have a phased control ie: outside temp dependant 100/75/50/25%.

Today at -2C they did not come on. What should I be looking for is it a fuse or the mirrors themselves ( strange that they both fail ...

It may be an odd concept to you, but then suggestions on what to go for would be welcomed.
After over 28 years of BMW ownership, not sure this is a future option, do I need an x5, maybe not but I did buy an x4 when they first came out, and hated it ( build was not in the same class) don’t want to ...

Sorry it’s taken so long, they were covered up in the shed, but it’s very cold and difficult to get to.
The only four digit number I can find is 2611, but I did not buy them from bmw until late 2012, I found the receipt, unless bmw are selling tyres that are a year old.

They may, but the wheels are as new not restored,buckled, kerbed, punctured or damaged, kept covered in a dark place and now £675.

Not sure but they are from my e70, so at least six years old

Thanks to all, the Halfords option was hard as the battery was only available on line, I would have to order it then take it back for fitting/coding.

In the end I have ordered a Bosch from Kwik fit, £249 fitted and coded, I have had to have a new battery on e53 (4.4) e70 40d 3.5 years from new, now ...

How much should I pay for a 2017 30d battery fitted and coded, I thought the main dealer was high at £376. Any alternative greatly appreciated.
