Re: WANTED - E53 X5 (Poss PX swap For Audi S4 4.2 V8 Avant)
I'm just about to advertise my Facelift 3.0D Sport Auto X5 for sale. 80k miles with FSH up until my ownership (I bought at 68k) and then maintained by me with no expense spared ever since. Not really interested in a PX as I've just bought a 650i Convertible. Full spec ...

Re: WANTED - E53 X5 (Poss PX swap For Audi S4 4.2 V8 Avant)
If it's more load space you need maybe a decent size roofbox, you've got the roof rails so removing and refitting would be a doddle. Never driven an S4' but had an 840 CI that's was a great driving experience with a Simular size engine.
Not a bad idea for shows and day to ...

That s4 looks in great nick and I wouldn't be coming out of that for an X5
Keep it or buy an S6!

Thanks, if I can't get a fair price for it I will keep it. Still want an X5 though, even though my last one cost me a fortune!

WANTED - E53 X5 (Poss PX swap For Audi S4 4.2 V8 Avant)
18 months after selling my X5 3.0D and picking up a 4.2 V8 Audi S4 Avant, I miss it and want to get back in an X. The Audi is a truly awesome car, but the load space simply isn't big enough for work, had to make two trips to a show yesterday as I couldn't get everything in, the X5 would have taken ...

it was Bosch pump from GSF, certainly wasn't cheap! Didn't do the relay, will bear it in mind for future, thanks.

Re: 3.0D Fuel Injection Warning at high Revs
cheers for the replies, I've got a fuel filter now so will replace that and see if it makes any difference, if not I'll get the codes read. The low pressure pump under the passenger side floor pan was replaced a couple of months ago (it was starting to buzz loudly), so don't think it will be that...

3.0D Fuel Injection Warning at high Revs
Had the X5 for a few months and love it, but having an issue with the fuel inection system, any advice would be much appreciated. Warning comes up when booting it, ie at full throttle when it hits around 4k RPM. It first did this once a few weeks ago after it was run quite low on fuel (around 20 ...

Re: Low pressure fuel pump buzzing
great stuff, many thanks, will give it a go. Is the diesel filter in the same area? Just thinking I may as well replace that while I'm at it...

Low pressure fuel pump buzzing
Had my radiator replaced recently and asked the mechanic (who I know well) to check over the car as we've only had it a few weeks, he mentioned that the low pressure fuel pump was noisy (buzzing) and may well pack up before too long. How hard are these to fit? I see that bmwpartsonline have two ...

Re: x5 3.0D Leaking radiator
thanks, I'll just have to keep topping it up every few days for now. Car did come from a dealer but was a trade purchase effectively, though they have repainted the front and rear bumpers and sorted a couple of mechanical issues for me as part of the deal. Going to ring around tomorrow for some ...

x5 3.0D Leaking radiator
Picked up our new X5 and love the car, had the front a rear bumpers painted, just got to get a couple of wheels refurbed and she'll be perfect :D well apart from the leaky radiator. Been loosing half a pint of coolant overy couple of hundred miles, had a look below everything else looks OK but the ...

Re: How to take pictures
if you want to try painting with light easiest option is to stick the camera on a tripod and use a decent LED torch (like the Lenser P7), much easier to control.
Trouble is, if you get bitten by the photo bug it can get seriously expensive :?
tell me about it, I'm a ...

Re: How to take pictures
its being lit with multiple studio strobes or speedlights, you can see the reflection of the main softbox (which is pretty high over the car) in the front and rear screens. The shadows around the car have been burnt in with PS, its all not that hard to do given the time, you can make anything look ...
