Re: Help please guys! No brakes and loss of power !
Thanks a lot for the glimmer of hope O:-) Did you also lose your brakes? I've had a quick feel around the numerous pipes that are visible but couldn't see anything abvious. But I'm still hopeful. The car was really driving like a dream up till the moment the brakes failed. I've got a trusted ...

Help please guys! No brakes and loss of power !
Hi Guys, Its a bad year for the X so far. After the front end shunt, causing the damper pulley to fail and needing to be replaced (800eur), I've been preparing to sell the car for something with less miles for the past few weeks (even though the car has 90k miles, and is like new inside and out ...

Re: Parts on Back Order - any experience of how long this could take?
Thanks, thats more or less what BMW Munich told me today. They there was a quality defect and they had to return all the stock. Even though the part is made in the US, they didn't recommend me trying to source it from there as all stock would be destined for Munich to supply back orders first, so it ...

Parts on Back Order - any experience of how long this could take?
Hi Guys, I've just tried to order a new bumper for the X5 (putting a 4.8is bumper on this time). There was a drop in price recently of the 4.8is bumper and it seems they've now sold out and there are none available in UK, or all of Europe for that matter. Just wondered, is it possible that BMW will ...

Leather retrim costs.
Hi Guys, My '05 plate 3.0D Sport is starting to show signs of its age inside after 80k miles. Luckily outside is still mint :) I changed the steering wheel and armrest for brand new (M-Sport Wheels), but the seats look really shiney now, and the drivers side back lumber is quite worn. Obviously the ...

What happened to all the BMW replica wheel suppliers?
Hi all, Just found the site looking for x5drivers that I used every day for years. Hopefully all of the members are here now :) I'm trying to source a set of staggered (9.5/10.5) 20" Style 168 replicas (preferably not Chinese), and all the usual suppliers have stopped stocking them (elitedirect ...
