You may well be correct (it’s not a piece of x3 that’s been chopped off) as the writing on the stickers appears to be Italian, rather than 🇩🇪.. although no doubt parts are made for BMW all over the world.

For your other question, I have only used BMW Screenwash concentrate (bought in 5L containers) after using someone else’s and ending up with gunked nozzles and pumps in my E53 20 years ago. The OEM stuff contains Isopropyl Alcohol ...

Probably been swapped for a 1.0 Ford Ecoboost engine… all show and no go, much like me

I have noticed the jets on the Mrs X3 are aiming very low, not much above the wipers.

The question is can they be adjusted? I have looked and there doesn’t seem to be any obvious way, or is it more likely the reservoir needs a clean (I have read several stories about sludge in BMW washer reservoirs ...

An update that comes under the “better late than never” category….

It turns out the switch needed to be replaced (the one under the rubber cover in the boot handle)… relatively inexpensive fix even with the switch from BMW, all works now as it should.

We have been persisting with opening the boot via the fob, but now that appears to have ceased to function as well. Usually when opening the tailgate from the fob there is a nice loud “boom” noise as it activates, now it makes a quiet click noise and does not unlock.
