Unbelievable Jeff

Had my mechanic give Tank a full service and going over today. It looks like we have a real good car (touches some wood) . Clearly BMW do not count a pollen filter as a serviceable item. The date on the old pollen filter was 2012 ๐Ÿฅบ Needless to say it won't be waiting that long to ever be changed ag ...

Glad you found a good(ish) one. Changing the PAS reservoir likely will have no effect. Get the system flushed as that’s the simplest - and probably cheapest - solution. It may just be old fluid as I don’t think BMW change it as part of any servicing now. My 2005 E53 had it done at two years but the ...

Right, I've jumped in and bought MY2006 3.0d with the dreaded sunroof (it works perfectly) 80k on the clock. I've booked it in for a service and to change all the filters. I've also added a fluid flush for both the brakes and the power steering. My only concern is that the power steering makes some ...

Any Majors Concerns to Look Out For?

I didn't buy that one as it was leaking oil but I have bought an E53 instead. MY2006 with 80k on the clock, complete with an X5 private cover plate. I've been offered a grand for the plate already. Not going to sell it but it's nice to see it has good value. I may have got myself a little bit of a ...

Any Majors Concerns to Look Out For?

Thanks for the heads up that's brilliant information. I had no idea budget tyres could be so detrimental to the transmission. Personally I like good rubber underneath me and invest in quality tyres.

Any Majors Concerns to Look Out For?

I'm currently in a somewhat fortuitous position that I'll end up with two X5s on the drive. I've already put down a deposit on a new X5 as our Q5 isn't man enough to tow our new caravan๐Ÿ™ƒ Q5 is gone but I now have to wait till January for the new steed to arrive. I'm on the hunt for an old e70 to ti ...
