One of my rear soft close actuators has stopped working, can still slam it shut like a normal door but the soft close action doesn't work (surprises me now and then by triggering once in a hundred times).
I haven’t called the stealers parts counter to get a price yet but based on realoem parts ...

Re: DAB no/low sound output
Agree on the service life of these cars. I read an article recently which suggested that manufacturers who produce cars that are predominantly leased tend to have shorter warranties and 'service life' than those manufacturers where the customers generally purchase the vehicles. It said that many now ...

Re: DAB no/low sound output
Well, went out earlier and DAB is now working again - there's no retune/search option. Came home and rescanned on the TV to find HD channels have returned on different frequencies as all the favourites have dropped. Clearly they've had some issues and/or planned maintenance work going on that's not ...

Re: DAB no/low sound output
I guess I'll need to have a dig around and find the DAB tuner module to see whether something has come loose. I don't think it's the DAB transmission as I was at least 30 miles away yesterday and the issue persisted. Not sure it's possible ot force a rescan from what I have read it's automatic and I ...

DAB no/low sound output
So I went out today and initially it seemed like the radio wasn't working, then I worked out that if I turned the volume up to max I could just about hear something, then narrowed it down to just a DAB issue. FM radio and other audio sources acting normally. Was working fine yesterday...

Re: Anyone running an x40d M Sport on 19" wheels?
I decided to stick with the 20's for one more set of tyres. Changed tyre brand to see if that makes any difference to the ride.

Re: Tyres again (Sorry!) - load/speed ratings
Not bothered about noise, more interested in softening the ride a bit.
I had the Bridgestones on mine when I got it (about the same time as you I think). I've had 20k out of them and they were not quite new but can't have had more than 5k on them when I got the car. Fronts worn badly on the outside ...

Thanks. I take it your winter set are the staggered size (285 rear)? Do you use spacers with them? Any photos with them on?

Re: Tyres again (Sorry!) - load/speed ratings
Out of interest how many miles did you get out of the Dunlop’s and how did they wear? I’m considering going the other way, from Bridgestone to Dunlop (or Conti) in hope of a better ride.
Presume you have these fitted by now; how would you rate the difference in ride (if any)?

If I decide to switch from 20" to 19" then I might make you an offer. Just mulling over the pros and cons at the moment.

Re: Metallic whirring/ screeching when moving
I get a very feint whining which I notice more when gently coming off the gas at low speed (20-40). It annoys and concerns me but my wife can barely ever hear it (when I'm asking her - can you hear that noise). Has been doing it ever since I had the car (3 years) and nothing has exploded yet so I ...

Just wondering what they look like on the car. Even more interested to hear if you have downsized from 20" - do the 19's look ok with the flared arches, is the ride more comfortable, anything else to consider?
