Re: Plastidipped my X

[quote="Imy"] Plasti-dip is American. it sells for around $6 a can over there. Here its more limited, you can find a few cans floating around on ebay for £19.99 or there is a uk plasti-dip stockist but they ship limited amounts at a time and are pretty much always sold out. I did look into getting ...

Re: Plastidipped my X

The more coats you use the better. It offers greater protection, and is also easier to peel off. Generally 5 coats is sufficient. I used 5l on the golf, and 7.5l on the X. The great thing is you can mix custom colors, metallic, gloss and flips if that pushes your buttons  :P

Re: Plastidipped my X

You spray it straight overImage Did my son's Golf in matt black. It's really easy to work with, and it peels off easily. Having said that, it is pretty durable, but petrol is the enemy - careful when you fill up

Pano sun roof fail

Hi Guys. The rear section of my pano sunroof stopped working. It's stuck in the vent position and will not close. I cannot see if there is anything stuck in the tracks. Any idea how I tackle this one?

Memory seats not remembering?

Hi Guys. Recently I've noticed that the back rest of the driver's seat does not keep the memory setting. I've reset several times - the seat itself maintains memory, just the angle of the back rest. Any ideas? :x

Re: Steering Wheel Question

I have. I saw the DIY on Xoutpost with the M3 SMG wheel, and I've seen a couple for sale around R2500. An E90 wheel is a bit more modern though.

Are all the wheels standared fitment?

Steering Wheel Question

I'm looking to change my steering wheel and was wondering if any BMW wheel would fit - I quite like the chunky sports wheel in the Missus 125i, but I've also seen a few E90 sports wheels for sale in our local free ads.

Would I need the airbag as well or can I use the kit from my current wheel?
