CODING
Has anyone had their vehicle coded to enable the mirrors to fold from the key fob? If so how much did it cost? I know you can buy code readers but I am the type of person who would mess it up. I have a 2019 BMW X2M.

Re: Bmw diesel auto 2007 x5 gear box problem
I would change the oil before doing anything major. It's surprising how many gearbox issues can be solved by simply changing the oil.

Someone who looks like that is virtually unemployable so you have to wonder how he can afford to own a BMW.

What a great idea. Hadn't heard of split boots before. Certainly worth a try assuming the cv joints are OK.

Re: MOT failure - 2x split cv boot. Possible Axle damage?
The best way to check for a worn CV joint is to drive the car to an empty car park and drive it on full lock both ways. If it's worn you will get loads of clicking. If the joint is OK just change the boot and re grease.

Re: Puncture Safe
Don't buy it yourself. Get a local mobile tyre fitter to do it for you. I telephoned Puncturesafe to get the name of a local fitter. They gave me the number and somebody turned up at my home to do the job within an hour. Job cost £50 cash for 4 wheels on a motorhome. That was a few years ago but I'm ...

Re: Hesitation when applying accelerator
Hi, Thanks for the messages. I have since replaced the tyres fitted a couple of weeks back with OEM P-Zero Run Flats and yes this has actually resolved the issues. No more hesitation/jerking the vehicle driving as it should be. Happy Driving :driving: Thanks for posting this as it could prevent ...

Re: Spare Key Fob X3
I would ring around some auto locksmiths. I heard the other day that there are people around who will do the job for around £90.

Re: Back in the fold.
Great colour and nice wheels. I bought a BMW Execs X2 with only 2000 miles on the clock in 6 months so there are low mileage examples out there. Ex BMW cars should be good and it looks like this is a great example.

Re: Sat Nav and Radio
Nothing in the handbook sadly. I wonder if this issue is peculiar to the X2.

Re: Engine noise
Very interesting stuff, X5sport, have to say I have never really given it much thought when it comes to where the fuel comes from, interesting read. Going to order some of the additive from eBay that Alan posted up. The redex seems to be making an improvement, not sure if that’s placebo, but going t ...

Sat Nav and Radio
I own a 2019 BMW X2 Xdrive M and, unlike previous cars, the radio does not mute automatically while the sat nav is operating . Is this normal or am I missing something?

Re: Coolant Loss
Could be a head gasket problem causing water to leak into the engine. That could be the source of the white smoke as well as the loss of coolant.
