E70 Gone!
Well, after over 6 years of combined and continuous X5 ownership (2 E53's and 1 E70), I have decided to move on. The new and very happy owner of the E70 collected it at the start of this week- still getting used to the gaping hole on the drive :noexpression: I have enjoyed all 3 cars, especially my ...

Re: Comfort Access
On mine locking the car with CA switched everything off (eventually). The only one anomally I found was if already on a call via bluetooth, and you switch of the car and lock it whilst transferring the call to the phone- the screen stayed on for a very long time. As a fix I just used to end the call ...

Did the first car have Adaptive Drive? That makes a big improvement to the ride and handling.
Cars with AD have a little 'Sport' button just below the gear shifter.

Re: So what kind of materials are Jaguar using?
Wow! Going by the £900 odd repair costs I'm guessing it is a door mirror assembly and possibly a plastic A post trim. Being a black car also did not help either. The building must concentrate the light and as the sun moves the location of the 'hot spot' moves and conveniently melts Jags! A bit like ...

Re: 3 piece suite - not made by BMW!!
I've got the AM16. Like you wanted a setup that did not take over the room. Takes a bit of time to set it up initially, but once done sounds great IMO. I know the audiophile lot don't rate Bose- but I do! :)) The newer jewel cubes don't sound as good I don't think. Good luck with the sofa sale- FWIW ...

Select the correct country, and then auto-tune. As others have said you get digital channels. (Great for watching Dave when the missus is shopping!)

Push it to the side (can't remember left or right) and then lift out from the opposite side.

Re: E70 Lost audio channel, Struggling for a fix.
Aside from checcking the connections to make sure they are tight- try swapping the loom and tweeter connection on the mid (i think there is a crossover built into it, and if the door loom connector is connected to the output for the tweeter it will not work). Worth also following the loom side of ...

Re: Xenon's self levelling?
I did this on my pre- facelift E53. Just plug and play- and the manual adjuster worked fine from the dashboard. As said already- the motors should be heard to move. Also they are switched on, mine from memory used to move up and down, before resting at their set position. If all wires are connected ...

Sorry to hear that buddy. You never know something may come up at your current place as you said, but if not your plan of digging out your CV is the right one. Every cloud and all that... Never a good time as you say, but I truly and honestly hope it all works out for you. If you do have to use the ...

Re: Oil Service cost
Ask what they are changing. IIRC the pollen filter inc. fitting (5 mins work) is probably about £140 of that! Ask them for a quote without that- you will be surprised! Also shop around- some dealers do better prices than others. Also worth ringing round a few out of town dealers- and then if ...

Should be covered- unless the panel has been repaired/ repainted at some time.
Rust on most modern cars is almost always the result of a poor quality paint repair. (Apart from Mercedes Sprinter vans for some reason- worse than 80's Alfas! ) )
