Re: Suspension dropping one side
Cheers for that. However this morning I decided to take the new bag off and check the pipe connection again. As the bag was flat and there is no way I could check for a leak with it in my hand I decided to undo it and use a small amount of liquid ptfe that I use for central heating radiators. I also ...

Re: Suspension dropping one side
You can’t check the connection to the bag once it’s inflated. I was as careful as I was when I did the other side and did nothing different in doing the second one yesterday. That’s interesting that I may be able to swap them over? I didn’t want to un clip the power to them in case it threw a light o ...

Suspension dropping one side
So I have a problem that I need some help with. (E70 4.0d 2011) The rear drivers side drops on its own after a couple of hours. I have put a new bag on the passenger side last October and a new one on the drivers side (thinking it was the culprit) yesterday (sat 01/05/21) No drama’s and I have used a ...

Re: 2011 e70 4.0d oil change advice please
All sorted now. I drained some more out listening to the I drive and even with the dipstick showing mínimum the IDrive still stated too much. I then went old school and only trusted what I could physically see (the dipstick) and put in more until just under the max mark. Knowing that I was just shy ...

2011 e70 4.0d oil change advice please
Right this afternoon I changed the oil filter and oil. I used the suction method using the dipstick hole (rightly or wrongly).... Anyway, on topping up I put in 4 litres, then another 2 litres and checked the dipstick. It said about max but looking at the I drive, it’s over full. (The I-drive p ...

Re: New to me E70 LCI 2011 - Problems?
As your new to the e70 and you have the same tyre &wheel sizes as my 4.0d, a little tip. When we got ours the outer fronts were more worn and the inner rears were more worn. After a few sets of Dunlop’s I have come to the pressures of 39psi all round. This has totally eliminated edge wear front and r ...

Re: Mot fail - engine MIL inoperative
Have you tried turning the steering wheel lock to lock? I had his on an old x3 and because i’d Disconnected the battery it came up. Was a simple fix for me.
