Re: Please help - location of PDC Control unit
I still haven't resolved this. I found the junction box unit (in passenger footwell), but didn't replace it as it needs to be coded etc. Also the second hand market for these is almost non existent and also buying second hand you risk of having same intermittent issues as I currently have. New unit ...

Re: Preventative maintenance on E70
Hi AdamX5 I feel your pain. I think we both bought our cars around the same time (and are similar to what I remember) and both are facing similar issues. I had controller as well and air springs are going for me too. I ordered those and will be changing them when the weather is better. New Arnott ...

Re: Hissing Sound from under car
This is not probably going to help you, but looking at the video it looks like you have oil leak, which might be a good starting point.

Re: X6 Wheels & tyres. Style 257 winter, Style 258 summer.
I'm interested in the winters mate. Questions on fitting - Do you need spacers to fit on the E70? and are the tires evenly worn?

Re: Various electronic problems
Also if you had a water damage to the control unit it could corroded wires so they might need replacing too, but as Alan said, the best start is quick fault scan

Re: Iphone XR - Pairing Issue
Hi Martin I have 2010 E70 with iPhone XR and sometimes have issues connecting to the bluetooth, but it's more about the module being hit and mis rather then iPhone. One thing to bear in mind is that when you upgraded from iPhone 7 to XR you probably used the same account which means that settings ...

Re: Anyone running an x40d M Sport on 19" wheels?
I have 19s staggered on my 40d - I have the SE version with the sport suspension and they feel fine (tbh if you hit bad road I don't think it really matters what tyres/wheels you have). I have Bridgestone Turanza which are * rated but no RFT. I don't have spare wheel, just the foam and compressor ...

Re: Please help - location of PDC Control unit
Hi, I've taken a lot of useful info from this site so I have just registered to hopefully/maybe give something back! I also trawled the web and found something as follows: For the model years 2007-2008 (and possibly part of 2009), the PDC is a separate module located in the right rear compartment ...

Please help - location of PDC Control unit
Hi guys Do you know where is the PDC control unit located? Everything online is saying that it's on the right hand side in the boot. Just underneath the fuses there is white plastic holder where it should be, but I only have there the air suspension control unit :? MY60 LCi Cheeers 1tPkzbS.png IMG ...

Re: Engine Fault
So I went to my local garage on Saturday and their scanner show some error on EGR valve - however they said that they can't confirm and further diagnostic would be needed (or inspections). I think I'm going to look into the EGR valve and see if it can be cleaned – anyone done this (not using the f ...

The only other code I'm getting is Info on the DPF which is there due to high milage. Unfortunately I don't have anything else apart from Carly ... will have to book it into the garage

Engine Fault
So for some time, when the morning is cold, my car can run a bit rough for the first couple of hundred yards(happened a few times). Start and idle is fine, it's just when driving it feels like its going to die and yesterday morning it just died with following error message on iDrive. When started ...

Christmas driving
So I thought I would share with you some figures from our Christmas trip to Europe. Overall I was pleased by the X5 and how it performed. There are a few things that I will need to investigate further, but overall I’m happy. IMG_7016.jpg To explain the mileage / consumption: ~ 2060 miles was mostly m ...

Re: Update the sat nav on CCC drive
I've updated my Sat nav (CIC) about month ago - bought it off eBay (guy selling it is member of X5 facebook group). Downloaded the files from guy's dropbox, put it in on USB followed instruction and it was done. I've paid ~£40. I believe that you also need genuine BMW FSC Security code in order to ...
