If it needed a new key battery it would not be the standard key you have to cut open surely , I suppose they fail sometime but are generally long lasting. Xenon Headlights I bought for my old 2001 e46 had the yellow knob tha back to switch between LHD and RHD , they changed to bi xenon in 2002 snd after that no more adjustment at the light.

The front sensor is for headlight levelling I think as the x5 generally only has 2 rear level sensors .

It's not that big but I got a space saver in mine and a few bits and bobs , these never came with one as they had run flat tyres but most fit ordinary tyres now as they are far cheaper and comfort is generally better too ..As long as the 4 tyres are the same brand and replace all 4 at once it should ...

Earlier cars like that sd are not affected by the front propshaft joint problem as they don't have that joint, I will say though earlier cars are affected by rear diff failure and replacements are getting hard to find and you can expect to pay up to 1k for one , mine went at 160k .Check for oil ...
