Worked this one out for myself on discovering the exterior handle was hot to touch.
Removed the handle and disconnected the wires to temporarily solve the problem.

New to the forum so Hi.
Have the same issue on my vehicle (access not working and getting 'High Battery Drain' message), but wanted to know if you were looking to change the external handle or inner (inside the door) parts to cure the problem?
