Tyre comfort on the G05.?
The G05 is a very good riding car, as good as the latest gen Q7, which rides like an S class. I don't think the ride on 22s will be an issue they have decent side walls.

Your X6 looks really nice. Great colour combo, they are a sharp driving SUV.
That's a very substantial difference 50 miles.

I think the N series is more fuel efficient with the addition of the 8speed auto, it's a great combination.
With the N57 ideally service it every 6k to 8k miles.
I don't think the really wide tyres help the economy, but I would rather go with the wide tyres and take a hit of a few mpg

N57 Which Oil? Engine known for bearing failure
At least BMW cover the engine under their excellent extended warranty cover and it’s not been classed as a known manufacturing fault by the warranty companies. Unlike the previous Land Rover 3.0 diesel engines used extensively in the Discovery and Range Rover products, where even Land Rover own e ...

N57 Which Oil? Engine known for bearing failure
I agree with you, partly the swirl Flaps on the later cars were not an issue, and there was a fix, to just blank them off. I had bottom end failure and it cost me £7200 from an indie. The M57 was generally bullet proof. You expect cars to become more reliable not go backwards

N57 Which Oil? Engine known for bearing failure
Despite the oil intervals there's an inherent design fault, would be interesting to know. Considering BMW 6 cyls normally are regarded as the best in the business this is very poor from them. The fault should have been acknowledged and fixed. As the N57 was used in a broad range of cars
