Hi guys, I've got a 2011 30d, and want to update the software to the latest version. Now I've been on the BMW website and downloaded it onto a stick and put it into the glove box USB port. Then when I go to highlight the existing version of the software it just stays grey, it doesn't go white as if ...

It's at the back of the engine, left hand side, big  handle on it..

That sounds about right for a 30d. I'm averaging just over 30 about the doors, up to 40 on a decent motorway run.

This is a really easy job to do on the X3, if you're half handy with the spanners you'll manage it no problem.

It's very much a diy job and there's loads of videos on you tube showing you how to reset the electronic handbrake and the service computer.
