My 2011 3.0d was suffering from a bit of judder on take off, if in either lock. It was diagnosed as the transfer box. The recommended remedy was to replace the oil and then reset the car.
Believe it or not this has cured the judder.
I had my transmission oil changed at 90k, very soon after buying ...

EGR cooler recall letter
My 3.0d had its EGR done in 2019 and was subj ct to the current recall.
The car went in around 0900 and was back with me by 1100. Mind you they do not have wash it.

AA
I last used the AA in 1992 when my car was relayed from Southwaite services back to Inverness. I spotted they had damaged the alloy wheel and the mudflap by incorrect strapping. It took a while but they did pay out for replacements.

Tow bar
Apart from the camera tow bar option, I can’t see any difference. I suspect it may have changed the parking sensors, as well as coding in the bar to the car to recognise it is there.

Tow bar
I had a Westfalia detachable bar fitted to my 2011 X3 in December. I had it done by a tow bar specialist who said it didn’t need coding in.
I then went to a BMW Indy who coded in the bar, giving me the camera image option of the bar.
A lot cheaper than the dealer!

StubeeDoo
Indeed - the same info I had from ZF. Mine will be booked in soon for this. It has 90k on it.
What surprised me recently was that a BMW indy told me they don't change the oil in the box, as it's not needed.

Fleet show
Hi folks
Just thought as I now have two X series that I should introduce the whole fleet to you;
16th May 20 1a.jpg
First up is the E53 3.0i. I have owned it for coming up for three years. I love the beast, although it does have a drink problem.

Re: Fault code readers.
Hi
Like you I am new to the coding world. None of the rest of my fleet need such wizardry.
Anyway after the research I did, I bought the one below and downloaded the Bimmercode to my iphone. My ipad is too old to support it, apparently. I have gone for the free version, for now.
I have yet to try ...

Re: E53 3.0sI for sale
Thanks for the detail and compliment.
Sorry - the E30 is not for sale. I bought it 14 years ago for £70 and hoping to get my money's worth out of it soon!

Re: Carly or bimmercode
I'm new to this coding game. Will one of these be OK with the appropriate app? Just in case I need to code in the LED lamps...
Many thanks.
