Re: E70 LCI STOLEN !
Update : my insurer paid out 4.5k above we buy any car valuation so i am pleased with the settlement. The issue is that in the SWxx London postcode german SUVs are disappearing like hot cakes during the night. One family lost their Q5 last month only to have their replacement vehicle stolen (LR ...

Re: E70 LCI STOLEN !
I'm also saddened to hear that your X5 was stolen, . As not relevant in the OP case, but even more ridiculous is keyless entry 😡😡😡 Makes the crook locks from the 1990's look advanced. Interestingly, I think BMW are only to aware of the shortfalls of the Keyless Entry. My car is an ex Management car ...

Cotswold BMW Contact Number
Hi Guys and Seasons Greetings.
Does mentioning Xdrivers still get us a discount at Cotswold BMW? If so, is there a direct number to call or just any of the dealerships? All information gratefully received.

Re: Problems with new purchase :(
Hi Ben, You can’t really beat yourself up about missing these faults when looking at the car, unless doing it all the time I would say there are very few people that would know enough of what to look for. That certainly includes me!! Let the guy have a look over the car and see about fixing all the i ...

Re: Who's wearing their winters, I am?
Thx and there’s me about to order sensors. Saves so much hassle and expense as abs recognises rolling circumference. I’m sure there’s a perfectly reasonable answer, but wondering why the manufacturers have moved away from using the ABS to identify a puncture and moved to the sensors. Just seems like ...

Re: Does this sound ok/price first time buyer
If it has been clocked there will be a tamper DOT illuminated next to the mileage...its a very small DOT but indicates its been clocked or a replacement binnacle fitted (not by dealer) the DOT cannot be removed once activated.... Interesting to know. I looked at a Z4 last year that had 60k on the ...

Re: E70 LCI STOLEN !
My car was up to date with all software. It was serviced last month at main dealer and had the security patch update last year. so if you think your E70 is secure and cant be stolen then you are wrong mine was GONE IN 60 SECONDS !!!other than steering wheel lock and cctv outside house what else can ...

Re: Does this sound ok/price first time buyer
Thanks for the reply I done a hpi check on it, as interested, its also had 6 number plate changes with the last owner having it 3 years with a plate registration G4HAM The other cars he has advertised it is also placed in the detail, so maybe could be an error on this advert and like the top it ...

Re: Does this sound ok/price first time buyer
Looks like a nice example. Price wise I’m not too sure without doing some research but I’m sure you’ve done loads. It does say under the main heading that it has a full service history (FSH), although I can’t see where it says it’s had 5 previous owners.

Re: E70 LCI STOLEN !
Really sorry to hear this, these scum of the earth make my blood boil! I’m not sure which models had an issue, but there was a thread some years back about how thieves can code a blank key by plugging into the cars On Board Computer. If I remember correctly there was a recall to allow BMW to fix the ...

Re: Who's wearing their winters, I am?
Ok, got the winters on today. Aftermarket pressure sensors work a treat. I did have a warning when driving back from the garage but to be expected with the summer wheels onboard as well. So unloaded them and gone for a 10 minute drive and all good.

Re: Who's wearing their winters, I am?
How can I tell if the alloys wheels with winter tyres 19 have the sensors already installed. I can’t see anything on the outside apart from wheel weights. If they have to fit sensors on do they have to take tyres off and then fit them. Can I get them from eurocarparts it only bmw sell them? The t ...
