Thanks. That has been suggested on another forum, along with the addition of self levelling suspension.

X5 - towing capacity increase
I have searched for information on the BMW X5 option of 'towing capacity increased', which appears to be standard when the electrically deployed tow bar is selected as a factory option. I am going to test drive a 2017 X5 tomorrow that has the factory towbar option and would like to know what changes ...
