Re: Tyre Wear G01
As I 've mentioned in other posts the 1st set of Alenzas wore away dramatically on the shoulders....after re-alignment (needed doing???) the 2nd set of Alenzas wore evenly but like I mentioned in my response to you I get nothing like the mileage reported about the photographed set of 14800 miles ...

Re: Tyre Wear G01
To see so much cracking fairly widespread across the whole tyre is surprising....I'm also surprised to see so much tread available after 14800 miles I get nothing like that out of the Alenzas I had (2 sets x4) I'm now on Pirelli Cinturatos (19") so we'll see how they go. Just checking we are talking ...

Windows Down???
I moved my Feb 2018 BMW X3 G01 this morning and out of habit I always lock the vehicle using the touch pad on the door handle...I was doing some jobs and left the key pouch up on a shelf in the garage. About 3-4 hours later I passed the vehicle and ALL 4 windows were down and everything unlocked ...

Re: Tyre Wear G01
OK just an update from me regards my OP of May 2019 expressing concern re tyre wear. If you've read previous posts you will note I fitted new Bridgestone 19" RFT as per what the car was originally delivered with. Pleased to report (touch wood) I've done 13,000 klms on them since last May 2019 and ...

Re: Fuel consumption on X3
I was the first on here to post regards the G01 X3 2 years ago now So far 35,000 klms done...20D X3 G01 From new Feb 2018 ….6.7 litres to 100 klms or 42.16 mpg overall Almost identical to the Lexus 220D 2.2 I had before this BMW...being a larger heavier vehicle I class this as really good for the S ...

Re: BMW Online Route Planner
OK....Having looked around for most of the day I came across the online Tyre to Travel App. It works on a Standard Map by default if using FREE version...plenty good. Interestingly you can save tar.gz files and better still another feature packages your new route for export to USB for BMW Car as did ...

BMW Online Route Planner
Hi All I used to use BMW Online Route Planner....with nothing to do over the last few days I said I'd plan a few trips and save them for later use. When I attempted to log on to the online BMW Route Planning utility there's nothing there anymore??? Even the links found when I search don't work ...

Re: Tyre Wear G01
I purchased a new set....being fitted today...23/05/2019. 22820 klms just over 14000 miles. When I had the wheel alignment check done they said they would not change over any wheels back to front or side to side because there was an advisory at the 20000 klm to consider changing. That was a surprise ...

Re: Bring a full spare wheel on holidays???...even though RFT fitted
2 thoughts. 1.. your car is new enough to still have breakdown assistance with BMW so if the worst happened they will get you home... 2... I've never had any issues getting tyres here in Ireland. I've just ordered 2 * rated RFT tyres for my wife's car which I could have had the next day.. As I'm ...

Re: Bring a full spare wheel on holidays???...even though RFT fitted
I recently had a similar debate, you can read it here I've now stopped carrying one of my winter wheels as a spare, and I bought a Stop 'n' Go tyre plugger kit. HTH. Stuart. Thank you for your view...I would only ever carry the spare wheel or even tyre alone when going on a holiday....the last ...

Bring a full spare wheel on holidays???...even though RFT fitted
I'm off to UK on holidays in June ….currently have G01 (2018) all Run Flat Tires. I'm thinking of bringing a complete spare wheel and RFT with me. I went before and brought nothing! Only recently I had a wheel alignment check as the outside shoulders on the front tires had completely worn away so I o ...
