It's a bit rich really that it was the government who encouraged us to buy diesels years ago and now it seems it was a bad idea and the motoring public are the ones made to suffer the consequences.

I'm weighing up the pro's and con's of buying a used X1. Diesel engines are pretty much being demolished at the moment but on the plus side there's a lot more choice on the 2nd hand market than petrol versions and the petrol versions seem to be at premium prices as a result.
