Hi i have a problem with my screen /radio on my x5 e53  sometimes it works but most of the time its just blank and wondered if there was any known problems which would cause the fault,i have replaced the head unit and its still the same ,any help would be appreciated thanks

Hi new to the site ive got a 2006 x5 e53 model ,Le mans blue ,i love the car but does have a few electrical gremlins,IE aux heater not working and also the multi function display on the dash is just a dark screen ,Ive had it for 14 months now and fix a variety of things on so might be able to help ...

It could also be the final stage resistor,or hedgehog as some people call it ,what happens is the the resistor brakes down and the interior fans run slowly and flattened the battery ,they are only on low and you cant hear them ,you can buy the part of flea bay for under £20 and is not a bad job to ...

Hi just wondered as ive got a problem with the dashboard screen being blank ,the back light is on but the screen is black displaying nothing ,is it the bm54 that controls it or is it the sat nav drive or the TV module thanks in advance

Hi what im referring to is there a box near the battery that is linked to screen in the dash.or is there a common fault to point me in the right direction,like a broken wire or wiring fault,just some ideas would be appreciated thanks
