Thanks to all for contributions. This is still ongoing- I managed to find an eBay seller who reconditions for £200 (you send them your unit). This has already risen to £290 as cables needed replacing PLUS I am now awaiting a call from them as apparently it still does not work so they may have to fit ...

Hi All E70 has a pretty big problem as the electronic parking brake is stuck. Called the recovery and they could not fix it. It has been towed to a garage they recommended as it was either there or dealer. Does anyone have any idea how much the cost will be? Apparently it needs the cables cutting ...

Thanks chaps. Looks like it is definitely possible, although the insurance company want an extra £300/year for arches, wheels and running boards. Probably should have checked that before I bought! I may have to shelve the idea as I could have bought one with the kit on for the additional costs! Oops

Hi All. Just joined the club with a 2010 (lci) X5. It’s a bit of a poverty spec as doesn’t have dynamic pack or any sexy bits on it. It does have nav, xenons and pan roof tho which is lovely.
