Valuation

Eh up all, Well after 6 happy years and loads of enjoyment from the car I’m thinking of moving the E53 on. My question is what is my car worth in real world.? In fairness it’s mint inside and out, I’m only the second owner and only 102k on the clock. Serviced by me since I’ve had it, last MOTs flew t ...

Eh up all, Been great on the X5 of late - no issues to report :D My passenger side wing mirror hasn’t been playing ball and dipping when selecting reverse for ages :x It did a kind of “dad dance” then went back to normal position or off late didn’t even dance just nothings :!: Thought I would have a ...

Battery Advice - Breather Holes

Eh up Thanks for that - why though ? It makes sense to me to just have the one breather rather than that other one an open vent that could simply ooze acid out !,,, : I’ve no idea why they recommend both vents open on the battery :? No idea on the construction of this battery assuming if I simply v ...

Wipers

Alan, Flats are great IMO (especially if you remove the little plastic clip) !!!!! Stubeedoo Clip just eases off carefully- I’ve kept mine just in case and popped a little black silicone tube over the metal tang on the wiper just in case and it keeps it neat Hope this had helped some folks : ...

Eh up all Been a while since I posted but still here  X5 went through another MOT no issues :driving: result However since I’ve had it some 4 years now, I initially swapped out my front wipers to flat areo ones. In doing so I’ve had 3-4 sets just because each one did not properly wipe a mid ...

Re: Slight miss / judder at 30mph

Eh up all Well I’m convinced  Car runs fine when cold, after a steady 55mph with no issues enter a 30-40 zone and it’s starts. Only shows when car is warmed up, no signs when cold. It doesn’t do it all the time though, that’s what I’m confused about. Seems to clear up on acceleration thou ...

Re: Somebody stop me..

Eh up,

It’s an “old skool “ thing, I like the tobacco brown leather of the BMW especially with a grey /dark blue exterior

Personal choice I guess

All mine are black leather interiors- best colour to keep clean and for wear

Keep the X5 it’s a great car

Re: Slight miss / judder at 30mph

Approved Cheers - been through my car over the years since I’ve had it. Great kit and priceless help from the members on here  Only way I can afford to run it by working on it myself. Funnily enough did brakes discs pads and fluids as a first job, also replaced 6 parking sensors - front b ...
