Re: 4x4 system, DSC and ABS failure! Battery Issues?
had my mechanic look at it today and he tested the battery and it defienelty needs replacing. he has recommended buying an AGM one from BMW direct. the car isn't stop start but as per realoem it does require an AGM battery. just about to call the dealers to get a price, anywhere else I can source one?

Fan/Heater/AC not working
Got into the car the other day and noticed that no air was coming out the vents. Have done some searching on here and done the usual check on the fuses. Not sure if this is related to FSR? My brother had the same issue on his 1series.
All the buttons work, just nothing coming out the vents front ...

Re: Auto hold button - how does it work?
used for stop start traffic where you don't want to keep foot on brake pedal. used to have a w211 e class, with that car you just needed to push down on the brake once and it would lock the brake until accelerator is engage.

Re: Increased Battery Discharge
Just gave the local dealers a call - price for the battery £218, labour to fit and code £135. Total - £353!
I think I will just go and buy the part and give it to my mechanic to fit.
