Key programming
Hi guys , been a while , need to program the immobilizer part of my diamond key , have seen it can be done with a ak90 programmer , anyone got any experience or is anybody local to the bham area that can do one , thanks chaps

Cheers Henry , will do the fluid first , is the best way the turkey baster method ( take a load out , put some new in , lock the steering side to side and repeat until clear red etc) if it's never been done it's getting on for 16-17 years old !!!!!!

Thanks for the reply mate , I'm really praying it's not !!! I didn't mention (apologies) that this is really only when stationary apply some revs and it seems to act normal , do you know if the pumps are weak on the e53 , I'm not sure either if the fluid has been changed so might give that a whirl ...

Just to add , I'm no mechanic by any means , but not scared to have ago so please if you feel the way I have approached things is wrong then by all means let me know your thoughts , the only thing I will say is I'm cheesed off with jacking the car up (bit of a standing joke with the neighbours now ...

Hi smee and Henry , your both right and that is why I said will report back in a couple of weeks to see if it has truly gone (fingers crossed) regards to the pistons Henry , yes I removed calipers from disk on both sides and got a friend to apply brakes while I watched one side and the father-in-law ...

Right , sorry for the delay but here's a quick update !! , Stripped both front calipers and everything was good (working as they should ) reassembled everything bled the system through and went for a drive , was exactly the same !!!!!!! , Thought sod it and bought some new disks , hey presto all ...

Lol defo sailsbury , still amazes me how much garages in general want to charge and like you say the dealers are even more , I understand everyone needs to make a living but it's as if some like to use certain car manufacturers names to charge higher prices for repairs. No problem with hijacking the thread , were all talking about the same thing lol , fingers crossed a strip down and caliper rebuild (if it's not too far gone) will sort the issue , can't wait to get stuck into it. I don't love problems but damn I love fixing them

Cheers Henry , that's my first port of call , strip off passenger side have a good clean up and check the piston , I'm busy with family for the next week (car won't get used) so will update my findings once I've stripped it off , thanks again

Yep , first port of call is to investigate the passenger side , there has to some binding there causing more heat !!
