Driving along the radio lost all stations. CD, Sat nav all working OK ??????? Had a look on here and Google the problem giving possible battery problem. I tested the battery with a tester and it was showing only half charge. Off to battery centre who tested it in more depth showing a similar problem ...

Birthday treat
Well the kids bought me a track day at Dunsfold, the Top gear track. Four car package and a fast lap. Saturday was a fantastic day weather warm, little wind sunny and apart from a quick shower, dry all day. First off Aston Martin V12, raw power is how I would describe it. Second was a Ferrari 430 ...

Fuel price
We all know that motorway services charge more for fuel but 21p a litre more was a rip off today. Put in £25 just to keep going. Cost at home was £118.9 a litre for Esso against Shell at the services. Gave the X5 a nice run from Cornwall to LHR to collect the daughter then back home before tea. ...

1 mph over
https://www.express.co.uk/life-style/cars/912418/Speeding-ticket-drivers-fine-speed-limit-1mph-police-UK Beggars belief. Suggested fines for 1mph over the limit. I would have thought the accuracy of a speedo would make us drive even slower than the limit shown therefore making journeys even longer ...

Re: Why take kids shopping ? Happy ending
Happy ending is that the X is back on my drive all repaired and looking splendid. Credit to the guys at Fix Auto Penzance. They kept me informed and no problem if I called in to have a look if I was in the area. Life time warranty with the work as long as I own the car. As its poo weather I have not ...

Re: Another day, another problem - Cracked Alloy
I would always replace a damaged alloy, its not worth risking it failing whilst driving. Sods law would kick in when it did fail and be when its under heavy stress.
Do like I have bolt an old alloy to the wall and use it as a hose reel....... complete with BMW centre cap.

Personal choice but I like the look on the X6 better.
