Re: Vacuum issue or Turbo Actuator issue?
I've started trying to track all the pipes where possible and I've also noticed that there is a small diameter pipe at the rear of the engine which is connected one end, but loose and the other. It looks like a similar diameter to the vac pipes, but is a fairly rigid plastic pipe, should it be ...

( Even though the E53 hasn't got swirlflaps, it shows you how to remove the inlet manifold ) Once the engine covers are removed a 10 mm and 11 mmsocket, a ...

Re: Vacuum issue or Turbo Actuator issue?
Thanks alan,
Ive ordered some replacement vacuum hoses, I'm going to try to replace all the hoses, I've also borrowed a vacuum pump test kit from a friend, so I going to try to test them first as well.
Do you, or anyone else have any guides as to how to remove the intake?
Cheers again

Vacuum issue or Turbo Actuator issue?
Hi guys, I have an E53 3.0diesel with the M57 engine, 2003 I'm suffering from a loss of bottom end power and torque, it's fine above 3,000rpm, but pretty gutless below it... So, I've been looking at possible Vacuum issues to start with a simple fix. My first question is that I've been tracing my vac ...

Replacement front door seals
Hi, I'm looking to replace the door seals on my E53, the seals are pretty degraded, the doors make a metallic slam when shut and the wind noise is getting louder, so time for some new seals! It's just the front set that are the issue. Any idea where I can get some from? Looked online and tbh I'm ...

Another option is to use Milliput..... 2 part "epoxy-putty".... this stuff does not go off for years & you simply cut off what you need, squidge it to mix it & mould it by hand to the shape you want. Re: New member! And a few questions....:-)
Thanks very much for taking the time to post, much appreciated! The crankcase filter is definitely the foam one, but I've ordered a vortex upgrade version, so will fit this asap. Re: New member! And a few questions....:-)
Just been reading up a bit, and looks like a blocked egr might be a possibility, definitely showing some of the symptoms. What's the general thought on egr bypass valves? My car is at 112k if that makes a difference.
