THanks for the thorough explanation, would any tyre size/profile fit both cars if I change the measurement specs?

Basically I don't have the winter tyres yet.

I will have to buy them for the hols but in December but will then take delivery of the Velar in Jan. I would like to buy some tyres that I can use in both the X5 and subsequently the Velar noting I went for 20s as well.

Ok, 10 days with the car, and having driven about 1700 miles here are my thoughts:

- Absolutely amazing to drive without the diesel vibration and in pure silence (even the petrol engine is very smooth)
- For my local driving I was getting 99.9 mpg (max) but after 100 miles the tank didn't move so ...

I've just swapped my X5 40d with a 40e (both 2016) as for me non diesel is making more sense in the current environment, especially as I prefer "green" vehicles myself

I am curious why you havent gone to the Msport spec with the amount of optionals you chose - any particular reason?

The only downside I read are residuals, are you at all concerned by that?

I quite like black, and wanted ivory interior as well, but got a good deal on a 16 plate so decided to go with that...
