Auto box questions....
I did a search but nothing specific really showed up. Anyways, couple of questions regarding my 2005 3.0i. When going up through the gears, it sounds like it changes up quite a few gears at lower speeds, I'd say it sounds as though the 5 speed box has 6 or 7 gears, not much rev difference between ...

Re: Hello everyone, new E53 owner.
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Today I washed the car and driving into town an hour or 2 later, the rear hatch kept opening, not opening up wide cause of the weight of it, but it opened and the interior lights came on.. The rubber button looks in tact but it's too much of a coincedence after ...

Re: Burning Rubber!
I've just bought my x5 and was thinking first job 4 new tyres and a wheel alignment.
I've found some accelera tyres at £300 for all 4, car isn't going to be driven overly hard, mainly by the wife, has anyone else tried these? I'm usually a sucker for michelins...

Hello everyone, new E53 owner.
Hello. Stumbled upon this forum a week or so ago as I have been looking at e53 X5's to act as a daily car, mainly for my wife. It came about after getting a new F80 M3 and living in the sticks I'm fed up with it going out daily and never being clean at this time of year. So the plan is to keep the ...
