Re: Gauging interest on pontential breaking of 4.6is..
Typical evil bay, have had several items with non payers of late, it's becoming a playground for time wasters. If you have to relist it, maybe don't put a "buy it now", that way people might contact you first to ask questions etc. at least that way you can weed out the time ...

As listing has ended I assume you have sold??
The buy it now was done by someone with zero feedback/activity and they've not contacted me yet, so I'm assuming in 48hours, I'll be re listing it. Bit of a pain as it had a decent amount of interest.

Re: Gauging interest on pontential breaking of 4.6is..

Here is the eBay link, I've kept the ad very basic I know.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263107073565? ... 1555.l2649

If it doesn't sell in 10 days, it'll be broken.

Gauging interest on pontential breaking of 4.6is..

Not entirely sure I've posted this in the right place, however I haven't decided for sure if I will break the car yet. The car is a silver 2003 4.6is, its developed a ticking, if I'm honest I don't have the time or energy to get into it, as much as I enjoy the car. I'm debating breaking it and ...

E53 rear subframe bush removal/installation tool..

I have the rear subframe bush removal and installation tool, I bought it just to replace my bushes and now looking to sell on as I doubt I'll use it again anytime soon. You would never know we used it by looking at it. It worked exceptionally, and made swapping and installaing the bushes a breeze ...

Re: This has got me seriously thinking-should i sell or keep the E53 X5 ???

Keep on top of the maintenance and you will more than likely avoid big issues. Crankcase breather and swirl flaps are a big one to avoid engine and turbo issues, gearbox oil change. Look after her and I'm sure she'll look after you. Could be worse could own a V8 and have paranoia of guide failure ...

If you think the impeller is catching, I wouldn't be driving it. I'd look into it more.

Speaking from experience.

Re: E53 4.6is price

I'm actually quite surprised by the prices on auto trader, some around the 100k mark hover at 5-6k and only seem to stay on a couple of days, so can only assume they sell. There doesn't appear to be that many still around.

I'm in the same situation as you, debating selling up my 03 4.6.
