What does one look like and roughly where are they in the engine bay? Stupid question but the one that's cold is the nackered one? I was willing to bet the problem would be buried in the dash somewhere so I'm relieved to hear it isn't !

Hello. I've got a 54 plate 4.4 v8 that's got a problem with the heating The passenger side is fully controllable hot and cold work as they should. The drivers side, however is only 'warm' no matter what, even if set to 32. The heater controls are a bit dodgy. You have to press the fan button a lot ...

The garage says thereshe nothing wrong. Checked everything prop shafts half shafts cv joints suspension etc. Theyve put it down to the wheels not being standard but they're only 19" I can't believe the originals are smaller?

Not getting phones to connect is a popular thread! I've got the same problem. I've got a 2005 facelift 4.4v8 with sat nav. I've done all the usual stuff (finger crossing, facing east etc) and no joy I don't get the three lights on the head unit lit but also the word 'telephone' isn't on the display ...

Hello. I've just bought a 2005. X5 4.4 v8 auto. With 162k miles. I've noticed a 'metal on metal' sound at around 15mph. It does it in 1st,2nd, and 3rd gears. The auto box won't let me select 4th at the speed the noise happens but. Suspect it's a speed related issue. It makes a lot of noise then some ...
