Re: E53 4.6is price

Well I'm In 2 minds.

1) get rid

2) keep it and hope it appreciates in price but if there not going to go up then I'd rather buy a new car.

The Cars on eBay at the minute.

Hi peeps I'm at a crossroads with the X so wanted some ideas with what todo. It's a 52 with 108k estoril blue. Do I keep it in turn set aside for costs like gearbox and chain and tensioners in the future. Or Do I sell it now. If I'm to keep it the main question is. If said parts are changed will the ...

Re: Best Exhaust

Cheers Greaeme

TBH this was my thinking on costa d to be fair expensive for an old car.

Coming from a 4.2 supercharged xf with custom exhaust I just felt the x5 sounded very revvy and not throaty for a v8.

Probley just my ears [emoji85]

Best Exhaust

Hi peeps

I'm after a nice exhaust system to make the 4.6 sound a little more grunty. I've looked about but can't find much. Does anyone know the best setup and best place to get one.

Maybe a forum member has a system for sale.

Cheers Lewis

Re: Help needed (Head unit problem)

X5 sport nice one. Should I try disconnecting the power to the nav computer first?

It also won't let me eject the disc.

I to hold down the eject button wait a couple of mins then push the button twice for it to eject.

Re: Help needed (Head unit problem)

Shouldn't be to much if the head unit is broken as I was thinking of buying a new one anyway. It's on an old e53 so not to expensive for a mk4 either.

So I was upgrading the software on my unit to mk3 When the unit crashed. I removed the disc and power the unit to find it has gone to an old school teletext format. So I entered the disc again but nothing is happening. So my question is. Is there away of getting the normal screen back up to start ...

Not overly hard.

I wasted time doing it because I didn't want to damage the board but now I've done one it's not hard at all.
