Tyre prices on the up!
Just put a set of Duellers on mine, got them for £992 from a local tyre place thats now been taken over by Halfords Autocentre. 15% off if buying 2 or more tyres. National tyres were very similar and have also been taken over by Halfords.

20” wheels
Yip I used an alu spigot ring for the rears on the E71 to make up the difference.sapphireblack wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 9:55 pm What winters do you have? If they are 74,.1 CB all round they will fit F16 but E71 rears are 72.6 CB for sure

20” wheels
This was a few years ago but having just swapped out my E71 for an F16 my winters from the E71 are now on my F16.

Re: Caliper wind-back
The screw in is only relevant to the vehicles that have the handbrake operating the pistons ie VAG vehicles. I’m not aware that BMW have started doing that. Our Z4 has this, the actuator bolts directly to the back of the caliper and turns the piston in and out to engage or release the handbrake u ...

Re: auto headlight switch - seems to have a mind of its own!
I posted something similar a while ago. I thought I was going mad but I did catch myself nudging the switch with my knee and turning the lights on.

Re: 20” wheels
It seems the dealer must have told the seller of my wheels porkies to get him to buy another set of winter wheels.

Re: 20” wheels
Not sure about that way round but E70 wheels don't fit F15.
I bought my winter wheels from someone who just traded his E70 for an F15 and was told the winters would not fit his new car.

Re: X5 333m Grey Anthracite Alloy Wheels
Sorry, I totally forgot about the price. I’m looking for £1800 Did you mean £1500? That's what they are on Ebay for. To be honest even at £1500 it seems its way over the top. Take a look at other adverts for the same wheels and you could buy a set complete with tyres and get the wheels refurbed for ...

Re: New (to me) car time
Last year I had a high oil level display on my car, X6, and had an oil change done to see if it fixed it.. The same high oil level display showed and I was thinking the worst like a leaking injector. It turned out that the oil level sensor was faulty and after having it replaced and calibrated it ...

Re: Posting tyres
I dont know how good the tyres are you are looking at but I still have 2 rears and 1 front that I am looking to get rid of.
All 3 have over 3.5mm at the lowest point
Bridgestone Duellers 20" staggered so 315 rears and 275 front.
Not too far from you if you were interested.

Re: Four wheel alignment
Should be. I dont know much about all this either. What I can see from my print outs though is that there are parameters on either side of centre and these have measurements. Like rear toe has to be between 0.03 and 0.07. They set mine bang in the middle at 0.05. Or rear camber has to be between -1 ...
