Re: What tracker to buy?
Sorry, i have no experience of trackers and don't have one in my F15 30d. To be honest, I don't understand why trackers are required. If you have Connected Services is there not a SIM card in the car? Can that not be tracked instead - subject to signal? It would make sense to me in my simple view of ...

Re: Dipping mirror when selecting reverse..?
I echo what PokenH00D said.
If i am not mistaken I vaguely recall some configuration option in the settings somewhere. Though I could have just imagined that.

Re: AUC 40D buying advice
Hi, I think the options are quite difficult to say as what will be important for one person may not be important for others. Personally, I think the Reverse camera is a must - better still the surround view. As was, 7 seats, folding mirrors, and privacy glass. I think the other thing to be aware is ...

Re: New BMW gran tourer 220d xdrive M sport
Lovely car. I wish you all the best with it. I had a 220 grand tourer (non xdrive) for a few days while some work was done on my X5. I was impressed with the grand tourer also. It isn't as good as the X5 of course but that is like comparing apples and oranges. My main prerequisite is getting three ...

Re: Real world mpg
On my 30d my trip computer (can't remember when I last reset it) is saying 34mpg with a mixture of driving. I'm at 16k miles. On some longer motorway runs I almost scraped 39mpg but I was lifting and coasting like an F1 driver to achieve that. I'm usually in Eco Pro mode mainly too. For me it is a ...

Re: 16 plate - X5 40d Msport
Hi All So, just collected a X5 40d Msport - really pleased I must say. Came from the XC90 II which I liked but somehow got bored of the design, thought the X5 looked a bit nicer. I had the X5 25d in 2014 (pre-order) one of the first delivered, and then RR Sport V8 in between, so had ...

Re: Driving mode...

Well, I must admit I've spent most of my time in Eco-Pro in some weird (pointless I know) quest to see what MPG I can get. I also find the response a bit smoother when pulling off. Since I spend most of the time in Eco-Pro and since it has been pretty cold ...

Re: Front End Collision Warning
Weird, the text says it will automatically be on on next start of the vehicle though. How are you trying to turn it on? Via clicking the idrive press on the checkbox or via the front collision button in the console? https://s23.postimg.org/qciy8qyvv/frontcollision.jpg img host I think mine is an ...

Re: In Car Media...Compromising ?
Interesting thoughts. I am with you in that I also desire acceptable music and the ability to hook up my iphone/ipod, decent Sat Nav and ability to make calls. To be honest, I think (maybe obviously) different people will have different requirements. Some people will spend a lot of time in their car ...

Looks great and I agree the black grill would be a nice touch! I hope it was worth the additional wait.

Re: Width limits
Has anyone gone through a 6'6" width limit?
I'd try and avoid it to be honest - unless the surround view makes it much easier/doable? Marlow Bridge is the closest 6'6" restriction to me but is closed for the foreseeable as a HGV driver managed to get through the ...
Not 100% sure about F15 but later E70's you go to messages and the address is there and when you highlight it and click with idrive wheel, transfers to satnav directly.
Yeah it is the same for the F15 - it should appear in messages. I've used it a few times and find it ...

Re: Some images of new M50D
It looks really nice! Enjoy it.
I must admit that I thought about the grill mod too.
Ah, from the interior photo I can also see where the new USB location is too - neat. In my F15 it is in the central armrest which is good for keeping devices out of sight i guess.
