Voice Control (option code S620a) got much better after 5/2012 (I think that's the approx date). I think the voice command/control option got better when it was incorporated into the NBT upgrade that occurred around that time (CCC > CIC > NBT). It's built into the actuator. There are a couple of small wiring harnesses that attach to the actuator...this is what sends the data to the LCM that the door is open or closed. If it is open and your moving or in gear...then the LCM sends a message to the IKE (instrument cluster electronics) that ...
