Re: Hi from a gutted new x5 owner but poss not for long HELP!
Get underneath m8 and start pushing and pulling at anything you see, sounding that bad it will be pretty obvious what it is when nyou start moving things in the drive train. Trying to diagnose knocks and bangs can be a nightmare when you are in the car but even harder on youtube. If you have just ...

Re: Cleaning Kits

Re: Inlet camshaft sensors
Problem solved, they had snapped the old sensor off and left the broken piece of sensor and bolt in the head. I have pictures of the bodged wiring and the mess they have made of the sensor mounting hole ( the bodges must have taken longer than just removing the old sensor properly and doing the job ...

Re: Front drop links......
Not correctly fitted was my first thought as the position they are in makes them look they have been twisted to make the bottom balls pop out. The links look offset about 30° which looks like its putting a hell of a strain on them. Ill get a couple of pics when i fit the new ones

Front drop links......
Heres a head scratcher for you all... Picked the car up friday from the garage, took it on a 60 mile journey to our static in yorkshire. On the way up it developed a bad knock on the front end. Stopped and crawled underneath and found both front drop link ball joints had popped out of their sockets ...
