Re: Bmw Goodwil
I would expect it - if the garage does something that causes further damage to the car, they should be responsible for damage they have caused and thus pay for it. Taking a car to someone for it to be repaired, you are expected to foot the bill of the repair alone and not foot someone else's mistake.

Re: Tyre Pressures for staggered setup 20"
Centre wear is an indication of over inflation i believe, equal edge wear therefore under inflation. Thats what I've always believed but only since I've owned BMWs with fat rear tyres. Anything uneven, inside or outside edges, is always attributed to tracking afaik. I know it always comes at a cost ...

Re: Tyre Pressures for staggered setup 20"
That is the problem however. We get tracking every few months due to a scheme the local tyre place runs for tracking. It is always getting done, matter of fact they had to change some tie rod ends because of their tracking discovering that they were seized. Despite getting tracking however, the ...

Tyre Pressures for staggered setup 20"
Hi guys, Was wondering what tyre pressures are best for the staggered setup on M-Sport X5's with the 20" wheels? (275/40/R20 on the front and 315/35/R20 on the rear). People are stating that they are good at 40psi, which we have always done, but others are saying to stick exactly to the tyre label ...

Re: WANTED E70 Rubber Mats
Dealer sells second row mats for £37 for the pair. Third row set are hard to find and I ended up buying a used pair from the US.

Yeah, not a fan of the new forum layout, is a bit dodgy on my computer as well. Would much prefer the older layout.

WANTED E70 Rubber Mats
I've been able to secure rubber mats for the second and third row of seats for our E70 X5. Beige Nevada interior. Have no luck in finding the fronts, not even direct through the dealer. Anyone here have a set/know where to get any from. Not bothered about new or used, just want a pair of fronts!

XDrivers on macOS Mojave and swiping
Yes, the new forum look is nice (although I miss the E70 picture banner). However, on Mac, this updated website seems to have made the website not function as well as before. It isn't a huge issue, it's just that on Mac, there is functionality in the Trackpad/Magic Mouse where you can swipe a finger ...

Re: Does anyone know how much oem rear air spring bag for suspension is?
£600 fitted per corner from local BMW dealer. Labour charge with them is about £120, took an hour to fit (easy job actually, just needs a lift to do). Around £450-480 from BMW, but some dealers make it cheaper with cash in hand.

Re: Tyres dilemma! New tyre urgently required, but how many/type/etc....
Star marked runflats (literally have a 5-pointed start next to the name on the tyres) were standard issue for these. Best bet with a staggered 20" setup on the X5 is to only have star marked RFT, as they ensure there isn't any issue with transfer boxes on these cars, of which can start to play up ...

Re: 640i Cabriole
Definitely, there is very few of these A6s with the 3.0T engine. Have taken a ride in a N55 engined car, not a 6 series though, can definitely say that it's a much better sounding car. The Audi is extremely refined overall, very quiet engine that disappears at motorway speeds, quite sublime actually ...

Re: Wingmirror glass fell off
Don't worry guys, took advantage of the situation and took as many drinks as possible from the fridge that I could carry. Not to mention the coffee!
In reality, would have done it, just wasn't too bothered at the time. Should be more careful next time/do more stuff ourselves.
