Re: Dash cam
I had a Thinkware F770 in mine and it was really subtle.
If you want to hard wire, there is a fuse box in the driver footwell; run the wires down the driver's pillar and remove the access panels on the side and underneath. Very simple.

Looks stunning.
They do a great job - and have done on all my cars, glad you're pleased with the results.

Re: Low battery warning since fitting dashcam
My Thinkware used to trigger this in the X5 but oddly never had a problem with any other car before or since.
I resolved it by adjusting the cut off to 12.2V (from 12.1v) and auto turn off after 12 hours. If the Blackview doesn't have these options you may be in trouble

Re: Head light beam deflectors - Driving in France
My X5 (2016) with LEDs had an option in the iDrive for Left/Right hand driving - I assume you've checked it's not there?
For Xenons you don't need to do anything other that put the switch into the ON position. This deactivates the adaptive element and makes the beam flat - so no dazzle.

Re: M50D: replace RFT with non RFT?
After being stuck on the motorway in the middle of the night once, with a puncture and no spare, I wouldn't have a car without RFT's now. I'm probably in the minority.
Runflats are capable of magical things... this one made it over 150 miles on a Sunday when nowhere had ...

Re: M50D: replace RFT with non RFT?
I could never find the Michelin Super Sports I wanted in the right size of non-RFT was also limited to 'SUV' tyres.
In the end I just replaced the P Zeros with Dunlop GT RFTs and they were better (quieter and more comfortable)

I just used to buy it from Shell when getting fuel - never had any problems.
You have a filler next to the fuel cap though? My 50d had the filler under the bonnet...
Cheers Mark. I’m in Camberley, and picking the car up on Saturday, so if they can’t do it, could we meet up at the weekend?
I'm back home now... Re: Coding help needed
Hi Rich, The cold and warm lamp check needs to be disabled via coding. Pretty simple with BimmerCode but I’m pretty sure the dealer won’t be able to help (unless the LED upgrade is an official retrofit). See how you get on and if you still need coding I can help (I’m in Farnborough). I’m away this we ...
